DVD Reviews

Head over to Chris and Phil Present, the ultimate UK movie podcast site, for two of my latest DVD reviews.

First up is a fantastic Spanish thriller produced by Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy), about a woman trying to find out the truth behind her sister's death while slowly going blind. If you're not a fan of foreign language films, don't let that put you off. Julia's Eyes is a well executed lesson in suspense and mystery, and I'd highly recommend anyone who likes old-fashioned thrillers to get their hands on a copy, you won't be disappointed.

Up next is a slightly less successful movie of a different kind. A Little Bit of Heaven is akin to the worst possible dramatic rom com you can imagine. If you are a Kate Hudson stalker however, you might want to humour your curiosity and give it a whirl, just don't come back to me complaining that you want those 106 mins back - I'll be out at lunch! You have been warned.
